Chaos Drednaught

I think as no one is going to use my 13th (so it seems) I might toy with one of my Dreddies.

One is distinctively wolf like and Ill leave that but one is a generic patters Dreddy.

This will be interesting as it will set the scene for my general vehicle painting scheme which varies a little bit to the Marines. I decided after some delibertation there was only so much "PURPLE" you could have on the battle field.

Ok this is my Dreddy so far.

Clearly a generic loyal space marine drednaught but I have added some Chaos motifs etc and as the traitor chapters were loyal at some point, I dont mind these sort of similaraties.

I have photographed him with one Marine to show the consistancy of the colour scheme. I think it works quite well on both.

I am contemplating attempting my first decent free hand paint work on the right hand plate of the dreddy. Maybe some sort of Succubus/Daemonette type figure.

Lots of work to do but I like how its coming along.

I am not completely unhappy with my first free hand on a miniture attempt. But might spend some time trying to refine it...

Tarted up the free hand a fair bit. Quite happy with it to be honest and looks good with my marines.

i've always preferred the look of the imperial dreadnaught to the Chaos "gothic castle with legs"
