Had to ask this one.

As cheesy as I like my units, I like lots of units.

I was always tempted to collect Imperial Gaurd for this reason.

However in all scenrios I have used gaurd, las guns and shit armour just cant stand up to any Ork, Tyranid, Marine, Eldar uit out there.

The argument gets raised, "thats why they have tanks", but if I wanted a mech army not an infantry army I would not have chosen gaurd in the first place.

What are your thoughts though?

Do you like a big table top precence?

Or an optioned up to the max smaller force?

playing dark eldar is much like guard
my standard troops are only 8 points a piece with crap or no armour and crap weaponry
all they have going for them is speed
they are cannon fodder to get certain caracters with great hand to hand skills and weapons with in reach of an enemy
